Keyword Density

The concept of keyword density – - comes from the search engine optimization and the ratio of the number of occurrences of a search term to the sum of all words of text describing a Web page, expressed as a percentage.

Influence on the search engine ranking

The evaluation of a website for a search query entered in a search is performed by the so-called ranking algorithm search engine. A variety of factors are taken into account, which may include the keyword density.

Examples

In a Web page that contains a total of ten different words, each keyword reached have densities of 10%. On a website with 10 words, consisting of nine different words, eight of which occurs once and one occurs twice, the duplicate word has a keyword density of 20%.
