Keywords or key phrases are often used in a piece of writing on the internet. The idea is to allow search engines to look at thesekeywords or phrases and make a note of them.

The search engine can then guidepeople when they search for the same keywords/phrases (for instance, typing in the phrases in a Google search box).

Below is an example. In this article, the keywords are in bold just so you can see them. Normally, they would look like the rest of the text.

Would a company benefit from blog marketing with a daily blog?

Blogging as a relatively new addition to internet communication, but it can still hold a wealth of opportunities for business use. With blog marketing via regular or daily blog updates, blogging has several distinct advantages over ‘traditional’ web pages such as allowing  regular feeds of fresh content that can easily be keyword targeted.

This new content can be used to attract repeat visitors to your site or subscription through RSS feeds - either way supplying that most elusive and valuable of clients: the return visitor.

Blog content tends on the whole to be of  far less formal in nature than general company website content that may well just deal in facts or try to convey a company image or be purely sales driven. A daily blog on the other hand is intended to give a more human or community feeling to a corporate site, this in turn will assist you blog marketing goals.

A business can put across this more informal feel by having a slightly more easygoing or ‘chat’ feel to it and not just emphasize their latest product - talking about far more general issues in their field that perhaps affect the public at large. For instance, non work-related events like how the company-sponsored football team performed at Saturday’s match or even an exclusive interview with a player.

It should also not be overlooked that because blogging is new and developing at a fast pace that it is ‘hot’ and on peoples minds, millions of people spend many hours each week searching for interesting blogs. With daily blog updates, your blog marketing page could be one of them.

A blog can respond very quickly to events - where a web page has to be reformatted, with a blog it can just be updated. Therefore if you work in investments and a huge company merger is announced, you can have details on your page within minutes.

One of the great advantages of such instant changeability is that if your clients become aware that you are always on top of the latest developments in your field, they may well link to your page by RSS or visit your daily blog as soon as they hear news of an event. It means you can build confidence and loyalty.
